I took Micah to meet Uncle Chip the other day. He had lots of questions, like:
Where are we?
Why are there so many flowers?
Where's Chip?
What is this place?
I explained to him that Chip is my brother and he isn't here anymore but in heaven with Jesus. We talked about death and heaven and how SOMEDAY we can go there too.
As we were driving away he said to me:
"Hey, mom! Uncle Chip is in heaven. Heaven is far away. Disney World is far away".
On a side note, he has been talking about Disney World a lot recently and we repeateldy tell him that it is far away and SOMEDAY we'll go again. :)
A child's perspective is refreshing sometimes, isn't it?
