Dave and I were ecstatic when we found out we were having a boy a few months ago. After the ultrasound we were instructed to go wait in the waiting room before seeing the doctor. As we were sitting there with a million thoughts rushing through our minds, Dave picked up a Gideon's Bible that was there on the table. Inside the front cover someone had written simply "read Micah 6:8". We quickly turned to the verse and it read: "
He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?" (KJV) At that point Dave and I looked at each other and said "what about the name Micah?". That was one of the easiest decisions we have made in a long time.
So, while we were trying to figure what to do with the nursery, it only seemed fitting to somehow incorporate the verse with the room. My friend Kelly, who is a graphic designer, was kind enough to layout the wording for me and I had it printed on vinyl at my work. The verse on the wall is by far our favorite part of the entire nursery.
Of course the 'transportation' theme and the colors tie everything together just perfectly.
Here are some pictures of the finished room. There are some odds and ends that still need to be added, but for the most part we are ready for Micah to enjoy his room very soon!

Looks great, Missy! Well done!
